One of the difficulties in finding skincare products for acne is that often they are too harsh. Many of the acne targeted products I have tried over the years have been very drying on my sensitive skin and left it tight and uncomfortable. Therefore, finding a cleanser that works for skin which suffers from acne yet is also sensitive is a difficult task. One of the cleansers which I have found to work is the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. It leaves your skin feeling clean yet soft and nourished, it has not been too drying which is great. It does have a slight fragrance to it but it is nothing too strong, it actually smells very clean and fresh. A little of it goes a long way, a 200ml bottle will last a long time. I tend to use this in the morning, and then in the evening I use an exfoliating cleaner to get a deeper clean after wearing makeup. If, like me, you have found acne targeted products too harsh then I highly recommend trying this cleanser (their whole Normaderm range is fantastic, I will be writing about some of the other products soon).
While writing this post I have discovered that Vichy have actually updated this cleanser it is now called Vichy Normaderm Phytosolution Intensive Purifying Gel (£8.00 on Escentual) I have not tried this yet but if it is anything like the original cleanser then it is worth checking out, I definitely will be! I may do a follow up post once I have tried it.
